Yes, even graduate students have back to school dances. If I were doing my term this summer in Vermont, there would be a dance just about every weekend in the barn on campus. But here we will just have two the whole summer. Last night was the first. bread Loaf hired the band Lumbre del Sol, which was a wonderful mix of rock with a southwestern flair. They were fun, and they had a real sense of their audience (way more women than men), so their were lots of fast dances and such.
The people who came had a great time, and it was fun for me to break way for a while and enjoy some good music.
