Three things happened that I wanted to remember. They seem rather small and insignificant, but they were significant in the moment.
1. Asher helped me while shopping at Sprouts. He picked the apples from the stand and placed them into the plastic bag I was holding. I could tell he enjoyed the sense of power and control.
2. Asher found a sock and was attempting to put it on his foot. He wasn't successful so I helped him. But this was a first.
3.Asher waved vigorously with his whole arm when saying good-bye to his Uncle David and cousin Casey. The full arm wave was totally unsolicited by his parents. He's only ever done a finger wave before.
Something has clicked in that little brain of his.
