It's as though this was the week you decided that because you were 11 months old, pureed food was too much for babies. It has become harder and harder for your dad and I to feed you food by a spoon. We have to sneak it in between bites of finger foods.
This means your mom has had to become a bit creative with those finger foods. Let's face it. You only have five teeth, so the finger foods need to be chew friendly. At least you are a great chewer!
Good thing peaches are in season, you have taken pretty well to PB sandwiches and banana, and sweet potato fries are something you enjoy. But mozzarella cheese is the bomb! You eat that stuff like candy. In fact, we purposely leave it to the end of the meal to get you to eat more of the fruits and veggies first. We are trying to help you be healthy. I have been appalled by the information I have read lately that says about 1/3 of toddler aged children don't get a single fruit or vegetable in their days. Yikes!
Any great finger food ideas? Please share!

When Bridget was little I often would microwave a sweet potato and cut it into cubes for her. Steamed butternut squash cubes were also a favorite. And she hated the green bean baby food but loved green beans straight out of a can. Slice some carrots and steam them in the microwave with a little water. Maybe you've already tried some of those things, but it's my two-cents for what it's worth.
