I sure do love these two sweet things! They are the lights of my world, and I can't imagine being without either of them. Motherhood is hard, but I'm grateful to be with them, to get plenty of hugs, snuggles, and kisses, and to hear Asher say, "I love you , Mom."
Mother's Day was pretty good. I made some baked French toast the night before. I prepped some lasagna in the crock pot so we could come home to dinner after church. I have learned that I really need to do more to make the day the way I want it because Enoch is not all that good at those things, and I end up being disappointed if I don't take some initiative. Perhaps it was a little tip I learned in reading The Happiness Project.
The rose bush behind us in the above picture was the gift from everyone to me. Enoch bought and planted it for me. My mom loved rose bushes and got more than a few rose bushes for Mother's Day because that was what she liked. I like them too and hopefully we can have some luck in growing them in our back yard.
I'm grateful to be a mom and to have such sweet darlings to raise. I feel it a sacred privilege and responsibility to help these little spirits to grow to their potential. That is no small thing. I hope they can feel that I have done my best for them.

Mother's Day... sigh. Good planning though, much better than I did ;) Curtis was also sick, so... Let's say, I have seldom appreciated the church kids program/nursery so much!
