We decided to enjoy a random array of activities and just relax. We hit the theater to see Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian with friends. Then we headed to Raquel's to lounge in her pool and catch up with her before she headed out on a month-long trip to Florida. It was a gorgeous day for the pool.
By that time we were pretty hungry, so we caught an early dinner at Texas Roadhouse, and then came home for a relaxing evening. Raquel had given us a bunch of zucchini and summer squash from her parents' garden, so I made some chocolate zucchini cake--a recipe that comes from my mom's file box that has no less than four different forms of fat in it. Delicious!
We've shared this cake with several friends because frankly it makes way too much for two. But now it's nearly gone!
