As I was running around last night trying to make sure I had not forgotten anything before heading out of town, I apparently missed some things. So....my note to self about things to remember in the future:
1. a digital camera--there is a story behind this missing item, but needless to say, I am here without a camera, and without a car, so I will not be posting pictures today and probably for a few days. I especially wish I would have one for the walking tour of Downtown Asheville that we will be taking tomorrow evening. I wish you could all see the lovely green that is Asheville. And hear the birds chirping--different birds than the west because I am unfamiliar with their sound.
2. pain reliever--I meant to pack some just in case, and didn't. The university bookstore will be able to help me out with that one.
3. a sweatshirt--I really think I will have little use for it with the temperatures and humidity here, but it is good to have something in case. I realize I can buy a sweatshirt at the bookstore, too, but I am hard-pressed to buy ANYTHING in UNC baby blue or that even says UNC on it. My Duke-loving heart forbids it.
4. hangers--I didn't really bring that many things that would need to be hung up, but still, why would I not pull out the hangers as I was taking things off them?
And I am sure there will be others, but I am truly brain-dead right now. Flying all through the night to get here has meant I've only slept 3 hours in the last 24. I'm due for a nap.

Glad you made it. ummmmmm...my daughter-in-law is a 1997 honors graduate from UNC Chapel Hill so cool it with the tar heel cracks. (8-)
