We began the day with homemade cinnamon rolls fresh out of the oven. Yum! I'm thinking of making this a birthday tradition.
We were off to church where he got a birthday lollipop. He couldn't wait to break that open once we were home. You'd think it was some grand prize. Gotta remember that--lollipops are about as good as anything at this age.
That evening, we had Jill and her girls and David and Ayami and the boys over for dinner--pizza and salad and cake. Asher got an Angry Birds puzzle, an Angry Birds play dough set, and a few other things. He loved it! He didn't like the attention for blowing out the candles on his cake. It made him self-conscious, so he ended up having Charlotte and Elaine help him. They were happy to oblige. He still is my tender hearted and quiet soul.
At 4, Asher...
- loves Angry Birds and other computer games.
- loves to tell me he loves me multiple times a day (please don't ever stop)
- enjoys playing with his sister most of the time
- likes the color red
- enjoys home more than any other place
- would rather not have to grocery shop with me
- goes to preschool three days a week
- has an amazing internal alarm clock--he gets up at almost the same time almost every day

Happy Birthday Asher! James had an Angry Birds birthday cake when he turned 4 too! And now Andrew wants one. Where did you find the candles?
I got the candles online at Amazon. They cost about $5 for the set of 4.
