Antics

Julia is full of it these days. She is exploding with language, parrots all kinds of words and actions, and has very definite opinions about things. She'll be sure to let me know what she thinks.

A few of her latest antics:

Sometimes she can be found sleeping UNDER her toddler bed. No matter that there is not much room under there. She likes it. In fact more often than not, she sleeps on the floor next to her bed or under the bed, rather than on it. One time, I went in to check on her in the morning, and I didn't know where she was because she had gone under the bed, and I wasn't expecting it. I was a bit panicked for a minute until I called to Enoch, and in calling to him, I heard her start rustling around and then she poked her head out. Phew!

She knows quite a few of her letters by sight and will say them aloud to me as she stands by the fridge and manipulates the letters on magnets there. Some letters she identifies more by the letter sound which is also interesting. This must come from playing Endless Alphabet on my phone.

She also likes to count. Playing hide and seek helps her with this. She skips a couple numbers in the video below, but it's pretty cool to hear her making sense of her world.

She also wants to say and do everything Asher does. Yesterday, while Asher and his two friends were saying knock knock jokes in the car on the way to school, Julia tried telling jokes of her own. She would tell the whole joke rather than waiting for a response, and then she would even start hysterical laughing at the end because it was so funny. She is a kick!

She is super fun most of the time right now. There are parts of two I would like to bottle up and keep forever. I like to remember these parts most. :)
