I am going through a bit of a shift in perception these days. Just yesterday, I came in your room at the end of your nap , and in the semi-darkness I started looking around on the mattress for you so I could welcome you awake--only you weren't there. It took me aback a bit until I realized that you weren't there because you were standing up at the side of your crib holding onto the rail. Waiting for me.
What? When did you learn to do that? I know that you should be able to do it, and I'm glad that you are. But still. I have to adjust my thinking.
