Enoch and I decided to go out on a limb and try a sushi place we could get a Groupon for. We had no recommendations and only Yelp to help us out. The reviews were mixed, with people really liking it or not. But hey, it was a deal for $12 for $25 worth of sushi. Worth a try!
The greatest part was that the sushi came around on a conveyor belt, so we didn't have to order anything but drinks if we didn't want to, and we could start eating. It made for great conversation and novelty, and we had a pretty good time. So much so that I bought another Groupon while we were there, so that we can go again in the near future.
And the $25 went so far! I think our server had to come back twice to tell us we hadn't met our $25 commitment and so we had to keep getting plates of food to fill the total. We were stuffed! They had all kinds of sushi rolls like caterpiller, California, tiger, avocado, and we had things like edamame and coconut shrimp as well. We were sitting at the bar near where the food was put on the belt, so we could get all the freshest stuff. It was pretty sweet! We also could see three or four of the cooks rolling the sushi.
It was one of our more fun date nights in a while. I'm so glad we took a chance on the Groupon. It wasn't the greatest sushi in the world, but good for the price we paid and the experience. We'll be back.
