Here you are with your new favorite toy. It's a marvelous hand-me-down from your cousins E and C, and you love it! I love the fact that you have grown in strength and balance so that you can stand by yourself beside it these days. You don't pull up to it yet, and I don't like to go too far. If you take a tumble, it isn't pretty. You haven't quite mastered the skill to fall gracefully yet. Fortunately, a fall usually means tears of fear more than actual hurt.
In the last week you have begun to say the "m" consonant sound quite clearly and quite often. I love it! I know you aren't saying "mom" to me on purpose or because you know what it means, but it's still fun to imagine what it will be like when you do say it. :)
You are such a sweet little boy. People love to chat it up with you at the store or wherever we go. You don't necessarily like the strangers in your face, but at a distance you will give them a shy smile from time to time. What fun you are!

It's so good that you're keeping notes of your baby's growing up. It goes by way too quickly and the details you thought you would never ever forget start to slip with time.
