52 Saturdays #14: Sugar Rush Edition

Enoch and I spent Saturday afternoon with Jill, Rob, and their two girls celebrating Easter with eggs, a hunt, and some egg salad sandwiches for dinner.

The two girls, Elaine and Charlotte, are full of personality, and as a three year old, Elaine was more than ready for the day. Oddly enough, the weather here in Phoenix was overcast and rainy, so we moved the hunt indoors after all the egg dying was complete. Elaine had a fabulous time hunting for eggs and found most of them. Charlotte didn't care so much for the hunt--especially once she discovered the eggs had candy in them. Then there was no more hunting for her. She was more intent on opening up the eggs and getting to what was inside.

Elaine loved the job of opening the eggs and discovering what was in them as well. She went straight for all of the chocolate. If there was anything else inside, that promptly got tossed aside as she continued to hunt for more chocolate. She knows what's good for her.

Sugar levels were up and then came crashing down as bedtime approached. But we had a good time.

"Hoppy Easter!" as Charlotte would say in her own 17 month old way. ;)
