Enoch's birthday/Father's Day

Poor Enoch will never really get to celebrate these two days independently. With his birthday on June 14, Father's day will always be right around there. I guess it makes things easier for me, and we still celebrate both, but kind of in tandem. I just don't have the energy for big on both. Maybe as the kids get bigger and can do more to help celebrate, there will be bigger fanfare.

Enoch took the day off for his birthday so that we could do our day of eating at Joe's. We had the Farm Grill for lunch, and the BBQ for dinner. We tried to keep the eating in check by sharing meals and such, and it was delicious. Enoch got and iPod Touch for his birthday. He bought it for himself. But I was the one who inspired him with the idea. He loves it, and is certainly getting plenty of use out of it already. He is contemplating getting an iPhone when our contract expires this fall, but we'll see.

On Father's Day, we had a couple of his brothers and their families over for dinner. Julia and Asher both had cousins to play with. It was pretty easy with pizza from Costco and lemon cake for dessert. Some of Enoch's favorites.

These two were virtually impossible to photograph together. Two quick movers who don't understand that you are supposed to pose for the camera. It's hard to believe we will soon be celebrating Julia's first birthday.

My bad picture taking self didn't even get a photo with the man and his children so we will have to rectify this soon. But I did get a few photos of the kids playing. Hey, it's something.
