Oh that Enoch's birthday would have been on Saturday. That would have made for more interesting photos for 52 Saturdays. But instead, the day came on Sunday, and we celebrated nonetheless. His brothers Steven and David came over with their families and we had Navajo tacos with carrot cake and ice cream for dessert. Yes, we did our own deep fat fried fry bread and I made a homemade carrot cake which turned out quite deliciously. We'll probably finish off the last of it today.
A little story about the cake. I don't have any cake decorating tools, so about a year ago I bought one of those cans of frosting in the store that comes with tips to help me do any occasional decorating that needs to get done. Well, I ran out of the frosting after the "i" in birthday and realized "Happy Bi" would do no good. Enoch, the eternal problem solver said he had a plan. He took some of the remaining cream cheese frosting, colored it yellow, put it in a baggie, cut a snip off the corner, and went to work. He quickly realized it didn't look so good, but what else we were supposed to do? He decided to end it with a flourish, by putting both a double exclamation point at the end and double underline underneath--which I thought was complete overkill, but oh well. It's his birthday and he can do what he wants to. Way to be, my love! Happy Birthday!!

Who doesn't love their birthday?! ;) I think all birthdays deserve double exclamation points and double underlines. Happy birthday, Enoch!
He must not have his birthday on his facebook profile. Those reminders are the only way I keep track of those things...that's how lazy I am. Happy Birthday Enoch!
No, Enoch did not post his correct birthday on there because he has all of this knowledge about internet security. I think ignorance is bliss!
Nice choice on the birthday cake - it looks delicious. We had carrot cake too - for Father's Day.
