Halloween 2013

This was the first year that both of my kids really "got" Halloween. Asher was already for the dressing up, the candy, the parties, the pumpkins, all of it. And Julia is not far behind. We would go into stores, and any Halloween things would cause her to exclaim, "Halloween!"

Asher was Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. When we got his costume earlier in the month, he had to wear it for a couple of days, he was so excited. Julia was a monkey--a recycled costume of Asher's from a couple of years ago.
Asher got to have a Halloween party at school with all his friends, and Julia came to the last half hour so that Julia could play along. She loved getting to be with the big kids. Asher's teacher is so fun, and had them making Halloween things for a couple of weeks--big witches, spiders, monsters, etc. I am so grateful for her efforts.

Then Halloween night came. I took the kids to couple of streets around us. Asher tired before Julia did, and they had plenty of candy without being overloaded, so we only went for about 45 minutes. Asher was happy to come home and help his dad hand out candy.
